Cha-no-yu : Tea ceremony;  
We taste, savour, appriciate, enjoy, know and feel the time, the season, the space, 
the atmosphere, the things and the mind..... with Matcha (powdered green tea).

  
We learn the base of host for serve light Matcha
by the practices that SAIAN experienced and selected
among some schools of Cha-no-yu in this introduction.

There are a lot of rules in Cha-no-yu and each rule is reasonable
from diverse points of view ;  function, aesthetics, spirits and courtesy..etc
  
How do we prepare of Matcha ?
How do we make a bowl of tea ?
How do we take care the equipments ? 

Every moment is unique, We will meet new things every time, 
We never reach the end of inquiring into Cha-no-yu: the way of tea.

Have you ever been in a tatami-room ?

Have you ever tasted a bowl of Matcha : powdered green tea ?


Have you ever seen Cha-no-yu: the tea ceremony ?


You can have the first experience of Cha-no-yu (Tea ceremony) for appreciating
  the atmosphere and Matcha (powdered green tea) with Japanese sweets. 

There are a lot of kinds of Matcha in Japan and each has different taste,
so SAIAN select a kind of Matcha from Kyoto for each season.

Tasting of Japanese teas and Cha-no-yu : Tea ceremony

  
Matcha is milled tea leaves. But we have several way of drinking with same leaf.

We will try to taste three kinds of Japanese tea; Gyokuro, Sencha, Houjicha and
of course we have the session of Cha-no-yu light Matcha with Japanese sweets.

Enjoy the savoring Japanese teas and the Cha-no-yu moment!

Cha-kabuki: tasting game involving three kinds of Matcha


Each Matcha (powered green tea) has their name 
and their characteristics of the taste, like wine.

There is one kind of the game for tasting thick Matcha 
in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

We will try to guessing one Matcha from three kinds of Matcha from Kyoto
by Cha-no-yu style with the information of some Japanese tea houses in this session.

Could you distinguish the one Matcha from the others by their tastes?
